Kentucky State Police Investigate Carter County Resident For Sex Crimes

GRAYSON, Ky. (November 21, 2023) – On November 18, 2023, The Kentucky State Police, Post 14 received a request for assistance from Carter County 911.  Upon arrival, Trooper King convened with the Carter County Sheriffs Department and was informed that a deputy had encountered a suspiciously parked vehicle while on patrol.  During the interaction, the deputy observed Upenyu Gogo (DOB: 8-8-1992) and a juvenile attempting to dress themselves. Subsequently, Trooper King conducted an interview with the juvenile, gathering sufficient evidence to arrest Mr. Gogo.  He was transported to the Carter County Detention Center and charged with the following: SODOMY 3^RD DEGREE AND PROC OR PROM USE OF MINOR BY ELECTORNIC MEANS.
