KSP Investigate Single Vehicle Injury Accident on the Pennyrile Parkway

Nortonville (May 4, 2017)- The Kentucky State Police investigated a single vehicle accident on the Pennyrile Parkway at the Hopkins County, Christian County line at approximately 3:45 p.m.. The collision resulted in one person being injured and taken to the hospital.

The preliminary investigation revealed that Corey M. Wallace, 28, Dawson Springs, was traveling north on the Pennyrile Parkway and as he passed the 28 mile marker, his vehicle hydroplaned on standing water causing him to lose control of his 2006 Ford Explorer SUV. The vehicle began to spin before leaving the roadway and colliding into a tree. Mr. Wallace was transported by private vehicle to Baptist Health Emergency Department in Madisonville for treatment of injuries sustained in the collision.

Trooper Jon McGehee is doing the investigation and was assisted at the scene by Trooper Stu Recke and Ron’s Auto Body and Wrecker Service.
