
Kentucky State Police Investigating Fatal Collision in Marshall County
POSSUM TROT, Ky. (July 21, 2025) – Kentucky State Police (KSP) Post 1 is investigating a weekend collision involving a special purpose vehicle that claimed the life of a Marshall County man.
On Saturday, July 19th, just after 11:00am CT, KSP Post 1 received a call from Marshall County Dispatch requesting KSP assistance investigating a two-vehicle collision in the 9100 block of US-62. The initial investigation indicates that a Polaris Ranger UTV, operated by Jeffery Story, 67 years old of Benton, KY, was exiting the parking lot of a business on US-62. A 2015 Ford Fiesta, operated by Robin Walker, 53 years old of Paducah, KY, was traveling eastbound on US-62. The UTV entered the path of travel of the Ford Fiesta, resulting in a collision. The UTV overturned and Mr. Story was ejected from the vehicle. Mr. Story was pronounced deceased at the scene. Ms. Walker did not report any injuries.
The collision remains under investigation by Trooper Casey Hamby. The registration status of the UTV as a street-legal special purpose vehicle in accordance with Senate Bill 63 is still under investigation.
KSP was assisted on scene by Marshall County Sheriff’s Office, Marshall County EMS, Marshall County Coroner, and Possum Trot Fire Department.
