
Graves County Man Charged in Connection to Accidental Shooting
The investigation is ongoing
(Sedalia, KY) October 8, 2019- Kentucky State Police Troopers have charged a Graves County man with Wanton Endangerment 1st Degree (D Felony) after an investigation into an accidental shooting. On October 1st, State Police responded to a report of an accidental, self-inflicted, gunshot wound to a 2-year-old near Sedalia in Graves County. The investigation revealed that the infant had access to a holstered handgun which led to an accidental discharge striking the infant. The infant was air-lifted to a Nashville hospital for non-life threatening injuries. The investigation revealed that the father of the child failed to secure the weapon which allowed full access to the infant child. On Monday, October 7th, KSP consulted with the Graves Commonwealth’s Attorney’s Office regarding the investigation. On Monday evening, 25-year-old Zachary Page, was charged with Wanton Endangerment 1st Degree. He was lodged in the Graves County Jail. The investigation is ongoing by Trooper Sarah Burgess with the Kentucky State Police.
