Kentucky State Police Post 1 Lieutenant Recognized for Extraordinary Efforts by Child Adovcacy Center
MAYFIELD, Ky. (March 30, 2026) – Kentucky State Police (KSP) Post 1 is proud to announce the recognition of Lieutenant David Dick as a “Legendary Partner” by Children’s Advocacy Centers of Kentucky at an awards banquet last week.
Each year, Children’s Advocacy Centers of Kentucky recognizes the extraordinary efforts of Legendary Partners who show exceptional commitment to protecting children. This year, Lotus, our regional children’s advocacy and sexual violence resource center for the Purchase Area, nominated Lt. David Dick with KSP Post 1 as a Legendary Partner.
Lt. Dick was recognized by Lotus as, “a dedicated member of the Kentucky State Police since 2011, consistently demonstrating an unwavering commitment to justice, collaboration, and community safety.” Lotus staff went on to express, “Throughout his career, he has worked closely with Lotus on numerous cases as an investigator, playing a vital role in supporting children and families during some of their most difficult moments and helping to achieve improved justice outcomes. He leads a team of extraordinary [detectives], setting a standard of professionalism, compassion, and excellence that extends the impact of his work far beyond his individual role. In 2023, Lt. Dick proved to be a key partner during the initiation of the Multidisciplinary Team Enhancement Project. His leadership and engagement meaningfully helped open lines of communication across agencies, strengthening collaboration and setting a strong foundation for the project’s success. Lt. Dick’s passion for partnership is evident in every interaction with our staff. He values teamwork, actively seeks input, and understands that the strongest outcomes for our communities are achieved through collaboration. His dedication to hope, healing, and growth as a long-standing support of Lotus truly exemplifies what it means to be a legendary partner.”
