Kentucky State Police Post 1 Trooper Recently Recognized By Local Organization

MURRAY, Ky. (May 15, 2026) – A Kentucky State Police (KSP) Post 1 trooper was recently recognized for his exceptional efforts in law enforcement.

On Tuesday, May 12th the Murray Lions Club held their annual Peace Officer of the Year awards ceremony and recognized Trooper Tony Green as the “Trooper of the Year”. Trooper Green was nominated by KSP Post 1 supervisors for his dedication to the community that is evident through his performance as a Kentucky State Trooper. 

KSP Post 1 Commander, Captain Joey Adams, remarked in his nomination, “Trooper Green consistently prioritizes community service and is widely recognized for his compassion and professionalism when interacting with the public.”

Trooper Green is a two-year veteran of the agency and previously served the commonwealth as a member of the Kentucky Army National Guard. His dedication to the community he serves is honorable and worthy of this recognition.
