UPDATE: Kentucky State Police Investigating Shooting Incident in Graves County

Hickory, KY. (August 25, 2021) – Detectives with Kentucky State Police, Post 1 continue to investigate a Tuesday night shooting on Makenzie Circle in Graves County that left one person dead.

An autopsy was conducted Wednesday on Darian Williams, 28 of Hickory, Kentucky at the Western Kentucky Medical Examiners Office in Madisonville, Kentucky. Preliminary autopsy results show Williams died as a result of multiple gunshot wounds to the body.
Detectives continue to gather information and follow all leads to develop a suspect. Anyone with information regarding this situation is asked to contact Kentucky State Police, Post 1 at 270-856-3721.

Hickory, KY. (August 24, 2021) – Troopers and Detectives with Kentucky State Police, Post 1 are on the scene of a shooting in the Hickory community of Graves County. At approximately 6:35 p.m., Post 1 Dispatch began receiving reports of gunshots near the apartment complexes on McKenzie Circle. Currently, one person is deceased as a result of the shooting.

Law enforcement believes this to be an isolated incident and there is no evidence to indicate a further threat to the surrounding area.
