KSP Post 1 Works Fatal Collision

The investigation continues by Trooper Derral Redwine.

Cadiz, KY (September 12, 2019) – The Kentucky State Police was asked to respond to New Hope Road in Cadiz by the Trigg County Sheriff’s Office at approximately 03:44a.m, in reference to a single vehicle fatality.  Initial investigation reveals Andrew P. Francis, 40 of Cadiz, KY, was operating a 2011 Mazda Passenger Car traveling west on New Hope in Trigg County.   For an unknown reason, Francis exited the left shoulder of the roadway. The vehicle then struck a concrete embankment and fence. The collision caused the vehicle to roll over and the victim was ejected from the vehicle. Francis was pronounced deceased at the scene by the Trigg County Coroner. Francis was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the collision.
