The Kentucky State Police Post 11 London Investigates a Fatal Collision in Clay County

MANCHESTER, Ky. (July 15, 2026) – On July 14, 2026, at around 10:30 p.m. EST, the Kentucky State Police (KSP) Post 11 London received a call of a single-vehicle injury collision involving a motorcycle on KY484 in Manchester, KY.

Upon the arrival of Troopers, preliminary investigation indicates that Roger L. Trent, 37 years old of Sizemore, KY, was operating a dirt bike southbound on KY484. Mr. Trent negotiated a sharp left-handed turn and struck a fallen tree in the roadway. Mr. Trent, who was not wearing a helmet, was ejected from his motorcycle and received fatal injuries as a result. Mr. Trent was pronounced deceased on scene by the Clay County Coroner’s Office.

This collision remains under investigation by Trooper Logan Mallory. He was assisted on scene by KSP Personnel, Clay County Coroner’s Office, Clay County Sheriff’s Office, Clay County EMS, and Panco Fire Department.
