Kentucky State Police Post 11 Investigates Two-Vehicle Injury Collision in McCreary County.

LONDON, Ky. (August 7, 2026) — The Kentucky State Police (KSP) Post 11 London is investigating a two-vehicle injury collision in Williamsburg, KY. On August 5, 2026, around 5:45 p.m., KSP Post 11 London received a call that a female, Jennifer Dotson, 30 years old, of Williamsburg, KY, along with her 20-month-old daughter, arrived at Baptist Health in Corbin with serious injuries from a collision. Initially, the Corbin Police Department responded to the hospital and determined that the collision occurred in McCreary County, which prompted them to contact KSP.

The preliminary investigation determined that Ms. Dotson was driving a 2001 Toyota Tacoma east on New Liberty Rd. in Williamsburg, KY, when she crossed into the path of travel of a 1999 Chevrolet Pickup truck operated by Eddie Davis, 30 years old, of Whitley City, KY. It was determined that this collision occurred at around 3:00 p.m. on the same date. This collision was not reported at the time it occurred. Ms. Dotson did not have her daughter in a child safety seat at the time of the collision.

After arriving at Baptist Health in Corbin, both Ms. Dotson and her daughter were flown to the University of Kentucky Albert B. Chandler Hospital for serious injuries. Both Ms. Dotson and her daughter are listed in stable condition.

This collision and investigation remain ongoing by Trooper Adam Dodson. Toxicology is currently pending.  Trooper Dodson was assisted in his investigation by KSP Personnel and Corbin PD.
