Kentucky State Police Conducts Death Investigation

Taylorsville, KY. (February 20, 2020) – The Kentucky State Police, Frankfort Post was contacted just before 1:30 pm today in reference to a disturbance just west of Taylorsville on Plum Creek Road in Spencer County.

The initial investigation indicates that a male subject entered a residence, at which time he was confronted by the home owner. During the confrontation, shots were fired by the homeowner striking the subject. The Spencer County Sheriff’s Office and investigators from KSP Post 12 responded to the scene and located a deceased male inside the residence. At this time no charges have been filed, and the deceased has been transported to the State Medical Examiner’s Office in Louisville for an autopsy.

The ongoing investigation is being conducted by KSP Post 12 Detective Matt Rogers. He was assisted at the scene by KSP Personnel, the Spencer County Sheriff’s Office, and the Shelby County Coroner’s Office.
