Kentucky State Police Investigating Anderson County Death

LAWRENCEBURG, Ky. (March 2, 2026) – The Kentucky State Police (KSP) Post 12 in Frankfort has opened a death investigation after responding to a call for assistance from the Lawrenceburg Police Department on Sunday, March 1, 2026, at around 5:30 p.m.

KSP Post 12 personnel responded to a home on Marrs Avenue in Anderson County on Sunday, March 1, and located a deceased man inside his residence. That man was identified as 53-year-old Jon Crawford of Lawrenceburg, KY. The Anderson County Coroner declared Mr. Crawford deceased at 3:46 p.m. on March 1st.

An autopsy performed this morning, Monday, March 2, has provided investigators with information that indicates no foul play is suspected to have caused Mr. Crawford’s death. The incident remains under investigation by Post 12.

KSP was assisted at the scene by the Lawrenceburg Police Department, Anderson County EMS, and the Anderson County Sheriff’s Office.
