Kentucky State Police Investigate Fatal Collision in Spencer County

Taylorsville, Ky. (March 23, 2022) –The Kentucky State Police (KSP) Post 12 is investigating a collision in Spencer County that resulted in a single fatality.  A 2014 Chevrolet Silverado operated by Dustin Herrick (age 46, Peewee Valley) was traveling South on Ky-155, and struck a 2016 BMW traveling North, driven by Gerald Tromp (age 68,Taylorsville). Mr. Tromp was pronounced deceased at the scene by the Spencer County Coroner.  The investigation is still ongoing by the Kentucky State Police, and witnesses are asked to call 502-227-2221

Kentucky State Police was assisted on scene by the Spencer County Fire and Rescue, Spencer County Coroner, Spencer County Sheriff’s Office, and the Taylorsville Police Department.
