Kentucky State Police Investigate Shooting Death of Anderson County Man

Update 4-18-19

UPDATE- Lawrenceburg, KY. (April 18, 2019) – On Thursday, April 18, 2019, Kentucky State Police have made an arrest in the Anderson County shooting death of 19 year old, Kyle York.

Jordan P. Witt, age 18, of Lawrenceburg has been arrested and charged with Murder. Jordan has been lodged in the Shelby County Detention Center.

On Saturday, April 13, 2019 Jordan was using illegal drugs when she picked up a handgun and shot Kyle York.

The investigation is ongoing by detectives at Kentucky State Police Post 12 in Frankfort.

 

Lawrenceburg, KY. (April 13, 2019) – On Saturday, April 13, 2019 at approximately 10:15p.m., Anderson County Dispatch received a call of a shooting at a residence in Lawrenceburg, Ky. The Anderson County Sheriff’s Department responded and later contacted Kentucky State Police, to investigate the shooting.

Anderson County Deputies and EMS responded to a call of a possible accidental shooting at 1020 Country Estates in Andersons County, Ky. Upon arrival they found a male victim of a possible gunshot wound, with life threatening injuries. He was transported to the Frankfort Regional Medical Center, in Frankfort.

Kyle York, age 19, of Lawrenceburg, appeared to have a gunshot wound and was pronounced dead at the Frankfort Regional Medical Center by a Franklin County Deputy Coroner. An Autopsy has been scheduled for later today.

The investigation is ongoing by Kentucky State Police Detectives from Post 12 in Frankfort.
