
Kentucky State Police Investigate Fatality Collision

Shelbyville, KY (August 18, 2019) – Daniel Raymond died late last night due to injuries he received from yesterday’s collision. Daniel Raymond was pronounced deceased at the University of Kentucky Hospital by the Fayette County Coroner.

Frankfort, Ky. (August 17, 2019) – On August 17, 2019 at approximately 8:37am the Kentucky State Police responded to a multiple vehicle collision on I-64 Eastbound at the 53 mile marker.
The preliminary investigation indicates that the collision occurred during congested traffic conditions approaching a bridge construction work zone. A 1999, Ford F-250 operated by Marvin Brown, age 22 of Louisville, made contact with a 2005, Lexus ES330. The Lexus was occupied by Daniel Raymond, age 38 of Shelbyville, and Jamie Raymond, age 37 of Shelbyville. The Lexus then came into contact with a 2010, Ford Edge operated by Theodore Ubelhor, age 57 of Evansville, IN. The Ford Edge then came into contact with a 2004, GMC Yukon operated by Kenneth Wert, age 69 of Enola, PA.
Marvin Brown was transported to Frankfort Regional Medical Center where he was treated for minor injuries. Daniel and Jamie Raymond were transported to UK Hospital for life-threatening injuries. Jamie Raymond was later pronounced deceased at the hospital by Fayette County Coroner Shea Willis.
