
Kentucky State Police Investigate Fatality Collision
The investigation is ongoing
Lawrenceburg, Ky. (August 29, 2018) –On May 11, 2018 at approximately 8:05pm the Kentucky State Police responded to a single vehicle fatal collision on US 127 south near the intersection of KY 151 in Anderson County.
During the collision Kaytlynn E. Doss, age 18, of Lawrenceburg Ky. was ejected form a 1998 Jeep Grand Cherokee and subsequently died from injuries she sustained in the collision. An autopsy revealed Kaytlynn Doss was pregnant and the unborn child also died. Kentucky State Police Detectives determined through investigation, Kaytlynn Doss was operating the vehicle at the time of the collision. Colton Willard, age 18, of Lawrenceburg Ky. was the front seat passenger. Two additional passengers were seated in the rear of the vehicle. Vanessa Walker, age 20, of Lawrenceburg Ky. sustained serious injuries. Amber Hoak, age 26, of Lawrenceburg, suffered minor injuries.
On August 21, 2018, The Anderson County Grand Jury returned an indictment. Colton Willard was charged with reckless homicide, fetal homicide 4th degree, and assault 4th degree. Colton Willard was arrested and served the indictment warrant, at the Lawrenceburg Police Department, on August 28, 2018 and has been lodged in the Shelby County Detention Center.
Kentucky State Police were assisted on the scene by Anderson County Fire, EMS and Sheriff’s Deputies.
The investigation is ongoing by Kentucky State Police Post 12 Detectives and Collision Reconstruction Units.
