Kentucky State Police Investigate Collision involving KSP Cruiser
Hindman, KY (December 3, 2025) – On Tuesday, December 2, 2025, at approximately 5:19 P.M, Kentucky State Police, Post 13, Hazard was notified of a two-vehicle collision on Ky-80 in the Hindman Community of Knott County.
Troopers, along with medical personnel responded to the scene. Preliminary investigation indicates that a marked Kentucky State Police patrol vehicle being operated by Anthony Bersaglia was in transit from Post 13 to his garage for vehicle maintenance. The marked KSP cruiser was traveling east bound when the front bumper struck the rear bumper of a passenger car that was traveling east bound operated by Debroah Wallen. Mrs. Wallen along with a juvenile passenger were transported to Hazard ARH to be treated for possible minor injuries. Mr. Bersaglia was not injured as result of the collision.
This incident remains under investigation by Sgt. Colt Stumbo and is being reconstructed by Det. Scott Caudill.
