KSP Investigates Two Men Electrocuted in Letcher County

Whitesburg, KY. (March 3, 2021) – On Tuesday, March 2, 2021, at approximately 5:05 P.M, Troopers, and Detectives with Kentucky State Police, Post 13, Hazard, responded to Buttery Dr. in the Whitesburg Community of Letcher County after receiving reports that two men had been electrocuted.

Initial investigation indicates that two TVS Cable employees, Jordan Fields, 23, of Whitesburg and Aaron Miles, 28, of Isom, were working near a power line when both men were electrocuted. The Letcher County Coroner’s Office responded and pronounced Fields deceased. Miles was airlifted to be treated for serious injury.

This incident remains under investigation by Detective Chris Collins.
