Kentucky State Police Investigating Breathitt County Fatality

Jackson, KY. (May 4, 2021) –On Sunday, May 2, 2021, at approximately 12:02 A.M, Kentucky State Police, Post 13, Hazard, responded to a two-vehicle collision on KY-15 in the Jackson community of Breathitt County.

Initial investigation indicated that a white 2005 Jeep operated by Russell Hollon, 30, of Jackson was traveling north. His vehicle crossed the centerline into the southbound lane striking a grey 2016 Ford, operated by Ebony Carter, 42, of Hazard. Both drivers were transported to the hospital to be treated for injuries sustained in the collision. The Breathitt County Coroner pronounced a passenger with Carter, Alanna Wallace, 54, of Hazard, deceased on scene.

Detective Scott Caudill is conducting an accident reconstruction investigation.
