Kentucky State Police Post 16 Trooper on Patrol in Henderson County Involved in Collision with (2) Semi-Tractor Trailer Trucks

HENDERSON, Ky. (September 18, 2026) – On Spetember 18,2026 at approximately 12:08am, a semi-tractor trailer operated by Jesus Vasquez of IL, was traveling east on US-60 near Reed, KY. Vasquez crossed the centerline and side-swiped another semi-tractor trailer before side-swiping Trooper Francis’ patrol vehicle. Trooper Francis and the other semi-tractor trailer were westbound on US-60. Both CMV drivers were transported to Henderson Deaconess Hospital for minor injuries. Trooper Francis’ patrol vehicle sustained moderate damage. Trooper Francis was not injured during the collsion. The collision is being investigated by Kentucky State Police Post 16.
