KSP Investigating Fatal Collision on KY 91 in Caldwell County

Princeton, Ky. (Caldwell County) – On Tuesday, November 23, 2021, around 6:27 PM, the Kentucky State Police Post 2, Madisonville, was requested to investigate a three vehicle collision 9 miles South of Princeton on KY-91.

Preliminary investigation revealed that Landon Pace, 18, of Dawson Springs, KY was operating a 2017 Toyota Rav-4 Westbound on KY-672. At the intersection of KY-91, for unknown reasons, Pace entered the roadway in front of a 2018 Nissan Pathfinder being operated Southbound by Michael Lipson, 31, of Princeton, KY.

Lipson’s vehicle struck the passenger side of Pace’s vehicle causing both vehicles to travel off the roadway and enter into the Dollar Store parking lot.  Pace’s vehicle then struck a third car that was unoccupied in the parking lot.

Pace and Lipson were both transported by ambulance to Jennie Stuart Hospital in Hopkinsville.

Logan McKnight, 18, of Dawson Springs, KY was a passenger in Pace’s vehicle and was life flighted to Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, TN where he later succumbed to his injuries.

Another 16 year old passenger from Pace’s vehicle was life flighted to Skyline Medical Center in Nashville, TN for treatment.

Detective Brian Graves is investigating the collision reconstruction.
