Kentucky State Police Arrest Muhlenberg County Man in a Child Abuse Investigation

MADISONVILLE, KY. (November 6, 2025) –The Kentucky State Police (KSP) Post 2 in Madisonville is investigating a child abuse case involving a 7-month-old in Greenville, Kentucky.  

On September 6, 2025 Child Protective Services contacted KSP Post 2 reporting a 7-month-old was being treated for multiple serious physical injuries. 

A thorough investigation indicated Tristan Bolton a 23-year-old of Greenville, Kentucky was responsible for the injuries. On September 24, 2025, a warrant was obtained for Mr. Bolton with the charges of Criminal Abuse 1st degree. Mr. Bolton was arrested and charged in accordance with the warrant and later lodged in the Muhlenberg County Detention Center. 

On October 24, 2025, the Muhlenberg County Grand Jury indicted Tristan Bolton on 1 count of Criminal Abuse 1st Degree. 

The investigation is ongoing and is being led Detective Jacob Stephens (U/1216) of the Kentucky State Police.
