
KSP Arrests Oak Grove Woman
Melissa Stewart was arrested and lodged in the Christian County Detention Center
Hopkinsville, KY (Christian County) – On November 6, 2018, at approximately 8:50 PM, Trooper Hunter Carroll, of Kentucky State Police Post 2 in Madisonville, initiated a traffic stop on a 2012 silver Chevrolet Impala after observing the vehicle operating recklessly on Fort Campbell Boulevard.
Trooper Carroll made contact with the operator, identified as Melissa Stewart, age 41, of Oak Grove, KY. While speaking with Stewart, Trooper Carroll observed several indicators she was under the influence. Through further investigation, Stewart was also found to be in possession of suspected methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.
Melissa Stewart was arrested and lodged in the Christian County Detention Center where she was charged with the following:
1.) Reckless driving
2.) Failure of owner to maintain required ins/sec, 1st offense
3.) No person shall have more than one operator’s license
4.) DUI 1st
5.) Drug paraphernalia buy/possess
6.) Possession controlled substance 1st degree, 1st offense (methamphetamine)
