Kentucky State Police Arrest Two  Muhlenberg County Residents after Pursuit

Drakesboro, Ky. (Muhlenburg County) – Around 1:50 PM on February 2, 2021, Trooper Curtis Crick, of Kentucky State Police Post 2, observed a 1996 Ford Explorer traveling southbound on KY 181.

Trooper Crick identified the operator as 29-year-old Justin Wells, and his passenger as 39-year-old Tanikia Adler, both of Drakesboro, Ky. Wells was known to have a suspended operator’s license and active arrest warrants for Failure to Appear.

Trooper Crick activated his emergency equipment to initiate a traffic stop, but Wells disregarded and began to flee on Gordon Lucas Road. At the end of Gordon Lucas Road, Wells exited the roadway and drove through a field. Wells vehicle was later located on Carver Mill Road, but had been abandoned.

Further investigation led Trooper Crick and Muhlenberg County Deputy Derrick Moore to a residence on KY 2270 East, where Wells and Adler were both located and arrested.

Justin Wells was lodged in the Muhlenberg County Detention Center, where he was charged with Operating on Suspended or Revoked Operator’s License; Fleeing or Evading Police, 2nd Degree (Motor Vehicle); and Fleeing or Evading Police, 2nd Degree (On Foot); Resisting Arrest. Wells was also served two Muhlenberg County arrest warrants for Failure to Appear.

Tanikia Adler was lodged in the Muhlenberg County Detention Center where she was charged with Fleeing or Evading Police, 2nd Degree (On Foot).
