Kentucky State Police Arrest Two People After Pursuit 

Madisonville, Ky. (Hopkins County) – Around 10:28 AM on April 2, 2021, Trooper Ean Weber, of Kentucky State Police Post 2 made a traffic stop on a white Chevy Malibu for speeding near the 30 mile marker on the Pennyrile Parkway Northbound.

The vehicle initially stopped but then accelerated again at a high rate of speed. It continued Northbound onto Interstate 69, exited at Hanson onto KY 260, continued to KY 254, then reentered Interstate 69 Southbound.

The vehicle continued Southbound on Interstate 69 to the 80 mile marker where Trooper Darron Holliman deployed his tire deflation device. The vehicle then stopped in the middle of the Interstate at mile marker 79 where both the driver and passenger was arrested without further incident.

The driver Destin Svestka, 23, of Evansville, IN was charged with Fleeing or evading police, 1st degree (motor vehicle), wanton endangerment 1st degree (police officer), wanton endangerment 1st degree, and various other traffic offenses.

The passenger, Isiah Fellows, 25, of Evansville, IN was charged with alcohol intoxication in a public place.

They were both lodged in the Hopkins County Detention Center.
