KSP Investigating Fatal Collision on KY 181 in Muhlenberg County

Greemville, Ky. (Muhlenberg County) – On Monday, May 25, 2021, around 5:46 PM, the Kentucky State Police Post 2, Madisonville, was requested by the Muhlenberg County Sheriff’s Department to investigate a fatal collision on KY 181, approximately 10 miles South of Greenville.

Preliminary investigation revealed that Terry Carroll, 46, of Greenville, KY was operating a 2004 Nissan Altima when he crossed the centerline for an unknown reason.  Mr. Carroll’s vehicle then struck the front of a 2013 Ford Explorer being operated by Daniel Greenwalt, 48, of Greenville, KY.

Terry Carroll was not wearing a seatbelt and was pronounced deceased at the scene by Muhlenberg County Deputy Coroner Ricky King.

Daniel Greenwalt was freed by extracation and flown by helicopter to Vanderbilt Hospital in Nashville, TN.
