
Accident involving injuries
Greenville, Ky. (05-28-2018) – On Monday, May 28th, the Kentucky State Police responded to a two vehicle collision on Bancroft Road, State Route 189, involving a 2009 Toyota Camry and a 1999 Freightliner Fire Truck belonging to the City of Greenville.
Both the fire truck and the passenger car were travelling south on Bancroft road. The passenger car driven by Aaron Colburn, 35, of Greenville was attempting to make a left turn onto Roland Drive. The fire truck driven by Maurice Marshall, 37, of Greenville attempted to overtake the passenger car when the passenger car turned into the path of the fire truck. The fire truck collided with the passenger car sending both vehicles off the roadway where they came to final rest. All occupants were wearing seatbelts. Both Colburn and his passenger, Wendell Colburn of Greenville, were transported by ambulance to the hospital with nonlife threatening injuries. Marshall and all occupants of the 1999 Freightliner were uninjured. KSP was assisted on the scene by Greenville FD, Greenville PD, Central City FD, Powderly PD, and the Muhlenberg County EMS.
