KSP Arrests Hopkinsville Man Charged with Multiple Drug Offenses
Elkton, Ky. (Todd County) – Trooper Brett Martin, of Kentucky State Police Post 2 in Madisonville, initiated a traffic stop on a 1987 Chevrolet pickup on West Jefferson Davis Highway Connector, after observing multiple traffic violations on May 5, 2020, around 9:57 PM.
Further investigation revealed the operator of the vehicle, 30-year-old Nathaniel Jacob Joiner, of Hopkinsville, Ky., was trafficking and in possession of multiple drugs.
Nathaniel Joiner was arrested and lodged in the Todd County Detention Center, where he was charged with the following:
- Following Another Vehicle too Closely
- Disregarding Stop Sign
- License to be in Possession
- Possession of Marijuana
- Drug Paraphernalia- Buy/Possess
- Trafficking in Misrepresented Controlled Substance
- Possession of Controlled Substance, 1st Degree, 3rd or > Offense (Methamphetamine)
- Careless Driving
- Failure to Wear Seat Belts
