KSP Arrests Central City Man after Pursuit

Graham, Ky. (Muhlenberg County)– Trooper Alec Winters, of Kentucky State Police Post 2 in Madisonville, observed a green Dodge pickup traveling eastbound on KY70 at a high rate around 4:28 PM on July 21, 2020. Trooper Winters initiated his emergency equipment to stop the vehicle just east of the Hopkins and Muhlenberg County line.

The operator of the truck disregarded Trooper Winters’ emergency equipment, and began to flee. The pursuit continued for several miles, before the operator stopped in a residential driveway in the 4000 block of State Route 175 in Graham. Trooper Alec Winters was then able to apprehended the operator, 36-year-old Donny Miley, of Central City, Ky., with the assistance of Trooper Justin Cornett and Greenville Police Officer Kaleb Rolley.

Donny Miley was arrested and lodged in the Muhlenberg County Detention Center, where he was charged with the following:

  1. Speeding 26 MPH or > Speed Limit
  2. Reckless Driving
  3. Failure to Wear Seat Belts
  4. Improperly on Left Side of Road
  5. Failure to or Improper Signal
  6. No Registration Plates
  7. No Registration Receipt
  8. Disregarding Stop Sign
  9. Failure of Non-owner Operator to Maintain INS/SEC, 1st Offense
  10. License to be in Possession
  11. Resisting Arrest
  12. Operating Motor Vehicle U/Influence Alc/Drugs/Etc. .08- 1st Offense
  13. Possession Controlled Substance, 3rd Degree- Drug Unspecified
  14. Prescription Controlled Substance not in Proper Container 1st Offense
  15. Fleeing or Evading Police- 1st Degree (Motor Vehicle)
  16. Wanton Endangerment- 1st Degree- Police Officer
  17. Wanton Endangerment- 1st Degree

Miley was also served two warrants from Webster County.
