KSP Arrests Clarksville Woman After Vehicle Pursuit 

Hopkinsville, Ky. (Christian County) – Kentucky State Police Trooper, Hunter Carroll, observed a black Mercedes sedan, traveling at a high rate of speed, southbound on the Pennyrile Parkway in Christian County, around 3:42 PM on March 18, 2020.

When the operator of the sedan observed Trooper Carroll turn around, at the 4 mile marker, they increased their speed. Trooper Carroll initiated his emergency equipment to stop the vehicle, but they continued southbound and merged onto Interstate 24, eastbound. They continued on I-24, until taking exit 89, KY 115/Pembroke Road.

After exiting I-24, the operator of the Mercedes began to pass a Dodge pickup, which was making a left turn. The Mercedes crashed into the Dodge pickup, causing both vehicles to become disabled. Trooper Carroll apprehended the operator of the Mercedes, 21-year-old Antranice Phillips, of Clarksville, Tn.

Further investigation revealed Phillips was transporting a 4-year-old juvenile, who was not properly restrained; however, neither vehicle’s occupants were injured as a result of the collision.

Antranice Phillips was arrested and lodged in the Christian County Detention Center, where she was charged with the following:

  1. Speeding 26 MPH or > Speed Limit (Limited Access)
  2. Reckless Driving
  3. Improper Passing
  4. Fleeing or Evading Police, 1st Degree (Motor Vehicle)
  5. Wanton Endangerment- 1st Degree (2 Counts)
  6. Failure to use Child Restraint Device in Vehicle
  7. Operating on Suspended or Revoked Operator’s License
  8. Improper use of Left Lane- Overtaking Vehicle
