
The Kentucky State Police Investigate School Threats
FRANKLIN, KY. (December 16, 2024) – At approximately 2:00 pm on December 13, the Kentucky State Police Post 03 received a call about a school threat from the suicide hotline. Kentucky State Police, Simpson County Sheriff’s Office and Franklin Police Department responded to all Simpson County Schools.
Simpson County Schools were placed on a soft lockdown for the remainder of school hours. At this time, there are no indications of a credible threat to the schools, students, or staff members. A high level of staff was present, as all students were released at normal time. As a precautionary measure, there will be an increase in law enforcement presence on school grounds until further notice.
