Kentucky State Police Arrests Cave City Man Following Pursuit
Glasgow, KY. (February 02, 2025) – Bobby Wayne Johnson, 44, of Cave City, was arrested on several charges. Troopers observed Mr. Johnson traveling on Highway 90 in Glasgow without a visible registration plate and attempted to initiate a traffic stop. Mr. Johnson refused to stop and began to flee. After a brief pursuit, Mr. Johnson was arrested and lodged in the Barren County Detention Center. He was charged with the following:
- Speeding 26 MPH or greater
- Reckless driving
- Fleeing or Evading Police 1st Degree (motor vehicle)
- Attempted Murder of a First Responder (police officer)
- Resisting Arrest
- Criminal Mischief
- Wanton Endangerment 1st Degree (police officer)
- Trafficking in Controlled Substance 1st Degree
- Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
- DUI
- Driving DUI on Suspended License 3rd Offense
- Trafficking Controlled Substance 1st Degree
- Failure to wear seat belt
- Disregarding stop sign
- No registration receipt
- No registration plates
- Failure of owner to maintain required insurance 1st Offense
