Kentucky State Police Arrests Barren County Deputy Jailer

Glasgow, Ky. (February 8th, 2023) – On Tuesday, February 7th, 2023 the Kentucky State Police Post 3 was requested by the Barren County Jailer to investigate a theft complaint involving a Barren County Deputy Jailer. Troopers responded to the Barren County Jail to investigate.

Preliminary investigation indicates that Deputy Jailer Dustin Young, 25, of Edmonton stole money from a current inmate lodged in the Barren County Jail.  Young was arrested and charged with Theft by Unlawful Taking Over $1,000.  Young was lodged in the Warren County Jail.

The investigation continues and is being led by Trooper Jonathan McChesney.  He was assisted by the Barren County Jailer and staff.
