Kentucky State Police Investigates Fatal Collision in Barren County

GLASGOW, KY (March 06, 2026) – At approximately 5:00 p.m., the Kentucky State Police Post 3 Bowling Green received a call about an injury collision. Troopers went on scene near the intersection of Scottsville Road and Austin Tracy Road.

A preliminary investigation indicates that a black 2013 Chevrolet Equinox, operated by Jamie Morgan, 37, of Scottsville was traveling south on Scottsville Road when a deer entered the roadway. Ms. Morgan’s vehicle crossed the center line and collided with a black 2022 Chevrolet Blazer operated by John Furlong, 35, of Glasgow.

On March 17, 2026, a juvenile that was an occupant in Ms. Morgan’s vehicle succumbed to his injuries at the Vanderbilt University Medical Center.

The investigation is being led by Trooper Grant Robertson.
