Kentucky State Police Investigates Fatal Collision in Barren County

GLASGOW, KY. (April 10, 2026) – Just after 5:00 a.m., the Kentucky State Police Post 03, Bowling Green, received a call about a fatal collision. Troopers responded to the scene located at the intersection of Happy Valley Road (KY 90) and Flint Knob Road. 

A preliminary investigation indicates that a black 2018 Chevrolet Silverado, operated by Timothy Parson, 41, of Glasgow, was traveling west on Happy Valley Road. Mr. Parson’s vehicle crossed the center line and collided with an eastbound 2022 Peterbilt commercial vehicle operated by Rayen Hicks, 32, of Sellersburg, Indiana. Mr. Parson was pronounced deceased at the scene by the Barren County Coroner. 

The investigation is ongoing and will be led by Trooper Grant Roberson. He was assisted at the scene by the Barren County Sheriff’s Office, Barren County Coroner’s Office, Barren County EMS, and other KSP personnel.
