KSP Conducts Death Investigation in Barren County

Glasgow, KY. (April 14th, 2020) – The Kentucky State Police, Post 3 in Bowling Green was contacted just after 8:15 am this morning by the Glasgow Police Department, in reference to an individual that died while in their custody.

The initial investigation indicates that at approximately 7:40 am, the Glasgow Police Department received a call for service after a man unlawfully entered a residence on Cleveland Ave in Glasgow, Ky. Officers from GPD responded to the scene, and found Jeremy S. Marr, 35 years old of Glasgow outside the residence.  While attempting to arrest Marr, officers noticed him having a medical emergency, at which time EMS was notified and responded to the scene.  Marr was transported to T.J. Samson Hospital by Barren/Metcalfe EMS, where he was pronounced deceased.  The cause of death is unknown, and his body has been taken to the State Medical Examiner’s Office in Louisville for an autopsy.

The ongoing death investigation is being conducted by Lieutenant Chris Baker.  He was assisted at the scene by KSP Post 3 Personnel, Glasgow Police Department, and Barren/Metcalf EMS.
