Kentucky State Police Arrest Warren County Man on Drug Charges

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (May 18, 2026) –  The Kentucky State Police Post 03, Bowling Green, received information leading to the arrest of Scotty Deel, 51, of Bowling Green. After a preliminary investigation, a search warrant was obtained for Mr. Deel’s residence, which resulted in the seizure of a total of 106 Marijuana plants, paraphernalia, a digital scale, and multiple firearms. Mr. Deel was arrested in Barren County, where Methamphetamine and a handgun were located in his possession. 

Mr. Deel was lodged in the Warren County Regional Jail and was charged in both Warren and Barren Counties. Mr. Deel was charged with the following:

Warren County

• Cultivate in Marijuana (5 plants or more) 1st offense (enhancement)
• Possession of drug paraphernalia 
• Possession of Firearm by Convicted Felon (enhancement)

Barren County:

• Trafficking in Controlled Substance 1st Degree 1st Offense (enhancement) 

The investigation is ongoing and is being led by Trooper Slate Dalton.
