
The Kentucky State Police Post 03, Bowling Green Police Department, Western Kentucky Unversity Police Department and Warren County Sherriff’s Office join Forces

Bowling Green, KY. (July 19, 2024) – The Kentucky State Police Post 03, Bowling Green Police Department, Western Ketucky University Police Department and Warren County Sherriff’s Office conducted a joint enforcement operation. Each agency combined efforts throughout the County with a focus to increase law enforcement visibilty. During this joint enforcement operation no traffic stops for speeding violations were conducted on any vehicles driving less than 15 miles over the posted speed limit. The joint effort resulted in 70 speed citations, 12 seatbelt citations, 5 citations for failure to yield, 5 drug arrests, 4 citations for no insurance, 4 citations for failure to stop at a red light, 3 citations for suspended operator’s license, 1 citation for reckless driving, 1 citation for careless driving, 1 non-drug arrest, 5 courtesy notices and 15 other for a total of 126 citations.
Over the last 3 months from March 2024 to June 2024 on Scottsville Road traveling into and out of the City of Bowling Green there were over 60 collisions and 180 traffic citations issued. During this same time periord on Nashville Road south of Interstate 165 there were 47 collisions and over 120 citations issued. Due to these numbers motorists may have noticed a much higher law enforcement presence in these areas today.
The 4 agenices came together, coordinated and worked together for the benefit of the community and those visting. This joint effort will continue throughout the month, as it runs in conjunction with Department of Highway Safety traffic enforcement campaigns.

Bowling Green, KY. (July 13, 2024) – The Kentucky State Police Post 03, Bowling Green Police Department, Western Kentucky University Police Department and Warren County Sherriff’s Office will be coming together with an enforcement operation. This joint enforcement operation will focus on:
- Speed
- Seat belt
- Impaired Driving
- Distracted Driving
- Reckless Driving
This joint effort aims to address common occurrences experienced by each agency, with hopes of creating a safer community.
