Kentucky State Police Investigates Fatal Collision in Edmonson County

BROWNSVILLE, Ky. (July 14, 2026) – At approximately 7:00 p.m., the Kentucky State Police Post 03 received a call from Edmonson County dispatch about a single vehicle fatal collision. Troopers went on scene in the 3800 block of Segal Road. 

A preliminary investigation indicates that a white Chevrolet passenger vehicle operated by Minor Tim Kinser, 65, of Brownsville, was traveling east on Segal Road. Mr. Kinser’s vehicle left the roadway and collided with a tree, where the vehicle then caught on fire. Mr. Kinser was pronounced dead at the scene by the Edmonson County Coroner. 

The investigation is ongoing and is being led by Trooper Grant Robertson. He was assisted at the scene by Edmonson County EMS, Edmonson County Coroner’s Office and other KSP personnel.
