Kentucky State Police Post 3 Troopers Recognized at Annual Awards Ceremony 

LEXINGTON, Ky. (July 24, 2026) – The Kentucky State Police (KSP) honored 84 troopers, detectives and officers who went above and beyond the call of service in 2025. The KSP annual Sworn Awards Ceremony highlighted those who are dedicated to protecting Kentucky’s 120 counties with a mission of creating a safer commonwealth for future generations.

  In 2025, KSP responded to 532,600 calls for assistance, conducted thousands of wellness checks during dangerous weather conditions, protected children from online predators, secured justice for victims, and assisted local law enforcement agencies as needed to promote safety throughout the commonwealth.

 Recipients from the Post 3 area include:

• Detective Bo Hubbard was named the 2025 Post 3 Detective of the Year. Detective Hubbard is an 8-year veteran of the agency.
• Trooper Tyler Walters was named the 2025 Post 3 Trooper of the Year. Trooper Walters is a 2-year veteran of the agency.
• Detective Trevor Harris was named the 2025 DESI West Detective of the Year. Detective Harris is a 23-year veteran of the agency.
• Trooper Jason Warinner received a Citation for Bravery. Trooper Warinner is a 14-year veteran of the agency.
• Trooper Devon Banaszak received a Meritorious Service Award. Trooper Banaszak is a 4-year veteran of the agency.
• Trooper Grant Robertson received a Meritorious Service Award. Trooper Robertson is a 3-year veteran of the agency.
• Trooper Walker Hogan received a Meritorious Service Award. Trooper Hogan is a 5-year veteran of the agency.
• Lieutenant Jason Akinson received a Meritorious Service Award with a V-device. Lt. Adkison is a 12-year veteran of the agency.
