Glasgow Resident Arrested in Murder Investigation  

Subject deceased arren County on Lick Branch Road

Glasgow, KY (July 8, 2018)- On Sunday morning at 3:57 a.m. (CST), KSP Post 3 received a call from Glasgow dispatch regarding a subject that had been located in Barren County on Lick Branch Road by a passing motorist.  Barren County Deputies had arrived and found the subject deceased, and requested assistance from Kentucky State Police Post 3 after they found the deceased, Kevin M. Miller (40) of Scottsville, had suffered an apparent gunshot injury.  Uniformed Troopers and Detectives responded to the scene.

 

Detectives with Post 3 processed the scene throughout the early morning hours.  Upon completion of a preliminary investigation, it was found that an altercation had ensued on the roadway between Bobby R. Conatser (52) of Lick Branch Road and Miller, which concluded with Conatser firing a shotgun, striking Miller in the back.  Detectives arrested Bobby R. Conatser (52)  of Lick Branch Road , Glasgow, charging him with one count of Murder.  He is currently lodged in the Barren County Jail.

 

The case is being led by Detective Gary Travis with KSP Post 3 and is ongoing.   Detective Travis was assisted by the Barren County Sheriff’s Department, Barren County Coroner’s Office, Barren County DES,  and Barren/Metcalfe County EMS.
