Kentucky State Police Investigates Fatal Collision in Warren County

BOWLING GREEN, KY. (August 30, 2025) – At just before 5:00 p.m., the Kentucky State Police Post 3 received a call about a fatal collision. Troopers arrived on the scene near the 15 mile marker northbound on Interstate-65.

A preliminary investigation indicates that a 1998 Cadillac el Dorado operated by Garland Johnson, 80, of. McDonough, Georgia, was traveling south in the northbound lane of Interstate-65. Mr. Johnson collided with a 2017 Jaguar SUV operated by Mesa Reinier, 36, of Hialeah, Florida. Mr. Johnson was pronounced deceased at the scene by the Warren County Coroner. Mr. Reinier was air-lifted to Tristar Skyline Medical Center, where he will be treated for his injuries. 

The instigation is ongoing and will be led by Detective Bo Hubbard.
