One Man Injured After Bullitt Co. Collision On I-65

The collision is still under investigation by Trooper Todd Simon.

Shepherdsville, KY. (November 13, 2019) –Kentucky State Police Post 4 Troopers responded to a two-vehicle collision on southbound I-65 Wednesday morning.  On November 13, 2019 at approximately 5:56 A.M. ET, KSP received a call of a two-vehicle collision on southbound I-65 at the 108-mile marker in Bullitt County.  Jose Benitez (30) of Miami, FL, was operating a semi-tractor trailer and was stopped in the emergency lane due to equipment issues with his vehicle.  Anthony Napier (46) of Shepherdsville was operating a 2018 Chevrolet Express van southbound when he for unknown reasons struck the rear of the tractor-trailer. Napier was transported to University of Louisville Hospital with life threatening injuries, Benitez was not injured.  Portions of southbound I-65 were temporary shutdown to allow for the investigation and cleanup of the scene.  The collision is still under investigation by Trooper Todd Simon.
