Two Injured After Collision Involving Semi On Western Kentucky Pkwy.  

The collision is still under investigation by Trooper Clayton Ellis.

Leitchfield, KY. (December 10, 2018)– Kentucky State Police (KSP) Post 4 Troopers responded to a collision involving a semi-tractor trailer Sunday morning.  On December 9th at approximately 9:30 A.M. CST, KSP received a call of a two-vehicle collision near the 120 mile marker on the Western Kentucky Parkway in Grayson County. 

The preliminary investigation revealed, Jeffrey L. Davis (56) of Hanover, IN, was operating a Freightliner tractor and trailer and was pulling back onto the roadway after having stopped in the westbound emergency lane. Daniel Skipworth (40) of Greenville was traveling westbound on the Western Kentucky Parkway in a 2012 Chevrolet Equinox.  As Davis’ vehicle entered back into the westbound lanes, Skipworth’s vehicle struck the rear of Davis’ trailer.  

Skipworth was flown to University of Louisville Hospital for non-life threatening injuries. Kentre L. Horton (34) of Greenville, a passenger in Skipworth’s vehicle, was flown to University of Louisville Hospital for non-life threatening injuries.  The Western Kentucky Parkway was closed for approximately one hour while KSP Troopers investigated the accident. KSP was assisted at the scene by Grayson County EMS and the Grayson County Sheriff’s Office. The collision is still under investigation by Trooper Clayton Ellis.
