Troopers Arrest Ohio County Man Following Grayson County Pursuit

FALLS OF ROUGH, Ky. (February 14, 2026) – Kentucky State Police Post 4 troopers arrested an Ohio County man on multiple charges and outstanding warrants following a pursuit that occurred Friday afternoon in Grayson County.

On February 13, 2026, at approximately 3:12 p.m. CT, Trooper Hannah Keeling and Trooper Joey Beasley observed a black Harley-Davidson Sportster motorcycle traveling on Owensboro Road in the Caneyville community without a visible registration plate. Troopers attempted to conduct a traffic stop; however, the operator failed to comply and a pursuit was initiated.

The pursuit was later terminated. Through investigation, the operator was identified as Ronald Geary, 49, of Beaver Dam, Kentucky. Troopers also determined Geary had multiple outstanding warrants for his arrest.

Troopers continued their efforts to locate Geary and on February 14, 2026, he was located and taken into custody without incident, less than 24 hours after the initial pursuit.

Geary was charged with the following offenses in connection with the pursuit:

  • Fleeing or Evading Police, 1st Degree (Motor Vehicle)
  • Wanton Endangerment, 1st Degree – Police Officer
  • Speeding 26 MPH or Greater Over the Speed Limit
  • Operating on a Suspended or Revoked Operator’s License
  • Failure to Signal / Improper Signal
  • Improper Display of Registration Plates
  • Improper Passing
  • Reckless Driving
  • Speeding in a Restricted Zone

Geary was also served with warrants out of Ohio County for:

  • Flagrant Non-Support
  • Fleeing or Evading Police, 1st Degree (Motor Vehicle)
  • Wanton Endangerment, 2nd Degree – Police Officer
  • Fleeing or Evading Police, 1st Degree (On Foot)
  • Operating an Off-Road Vehicle on Public/Private Land Without Consent
  • Failure to Appear on charges of Speeding 15 MPH Over the Limit and No Operator’s/Moped License

Additionally, Geary was served with warrants out of Warren County for:

  • Speeding 21 MPH Over the Limit (Limited Access Highway)
  • Operating on a Suspended or Revoked Operator’s License
  • Failure to Signal / Improper Signal
  • Reckless Driving
  • Following Another Vehicle Too Closely

Geary was lodged in the Grayson County Detention Center.

The investigation remains ongoing and is being conducted by Trooper Keeling.
