Kentucky State Police Investigates Fatal Collision in Hardin Co.

RADCLIFF, Ky.  (February 22, 2023) – Kentucky State Police (KSP) Post 4 responded to a single-vehicle fatal collision involving a motorcycle in Hardin Co. Tuesday evening.

On Feb. 21, at approximately 7:15 EST, KSP Post 4 received a call from Fort Knox Dispatch requesting assistance investigating a single-vehicle fatal collision near the intersection of Bullion Blvd and Innovation Way.

The preliminary investigation revealed Jeffrey Barnes, 63, of Vine Grove, was operating a Harley-Davidson motorcycle southbound on Bullion Blvd when for unknown reasons, he entered into the median before striking a concrete drainage ditch causing Barnes to be ejected from the motorcycle.

The Hardin Co. Coroner’s Office pronounced Barnes deceased at the scene.

KSP Post 4 was assisted at the scene by the Hardin Co. Sheriff’s Office, Hardin Co. EMS, and the Hardin Co. Coroner’s Office. The collision remains under investigation by Tpr. Robert Moster.
