(Elizabethtown, KY.) June 26, 2018– Kentucky State Police Post 04 Troopers responded to a two vehicle collision in Bullitt Co. Tuesday morning. At approximately 10:26 A.M. EDT, KSP received a call of a two vehicle collision on I-65 at the northbound 105 mile marker in Bullitt County. Richard Brown (31) of Greensburg was traveling north on I-65 in a 2003 Chevrolet Trailblazer. Richard Harrell (64) of Liberty was also traveling north on I-65 in a 1998 Dodge Ram. Due to the wet conditions of the roadway, Brown lost control and struck the cable barrier before spinning into the path of Harrell. Brown’s passenger, Rebecca Brown (62) of Campbellsville, was transported to University of Louisville Hospital and was later pronounced deceased by the Jefferson County Coroner’s Office. Portions of the northbound lanes of I-65 remained open while KSP Troopers reconstructed the accident. The accident is still under investigation by Trooper/Reconstructionist Brandon Brooks.
