
Kentucky State Police Investigates Fatal Collision in Grayson County
CLARKSON, KY. (September 4, 2025) – The Kentucky State Police (KSP) Post 4 and Grayson County Sheriff’s Office responded to a two-vehicle collision in Grayson County Thursday morning that resulted in a fatality and serious physical injuries.
On September 4, 2025, around 4:25 a.m. CDT, KSP Post 4 received a call from Grayson County Sheriff’s Office to assist with the investigation of a head on fatal collision near the 117-mile marker of the Western Kentucky Parkway involving a midsize sedan and a compact car.
The preliminary investigation revealed that a 2017 Honda Civic, operated by Francisco Tziquin, 25, of Houston Texas, was traveling westbound on the Western Kentucky Parkway when, for unknown reasons, he crossed the median and struck a 2008 Lincoln MKZ traveling eastbound on the Western Kentucky Parkway. The Lincoln MKZ was being operated by Isaac Hearn, 25, of Leitchfield.
A female adult passenger in the Honda Civic being operated by Tziquin was pronounced deceased at the scene by the Grayson County Coroner’s Office. Two other juvenile passengers that were in the Honda Civic were transported to Norton Children’s Hospital in Louisville for serious physical injuries. The operator of the Lincoln MKZ, Isaac Hearn, was taken to Twin Lakes Regional Medical Center for serious physical injuries.
Francisco Tziquin was subsequently arrested for Leaving the Scene of an Accident-Failure to Render Aid or Assistance and No Operator’s-Moped License. He is lodged in the Grayson County Detention Center.
Troopers were assisted on scene by the Grayson County Sheriff’s Office, East Grayson County Fire Department, Clarkson Fire Department, Leitchfield Fire Department, Grayson County EMS, the Grayson County Coroner’s Office, and the Kentucky Road Department. The investigation remains ongoing by reconstructionist Trooper Scott Wheatley.
