Kentucky State Police Post 5 Investigates Fatal Collision in Gallatin County

WARSAW, Ky. (02/02/2026)– Kentucky State Police Troopers responded to a multi-vehicle crash that resulted in a fatality on US 42 E yesterday evening around 7:30.

Preliminary investigation revealed that a 2011 Chevrolet Silverado driven by Dalton Hamlin, 20, of Crittenden, KY, was traveling West and crossed the center line, striking a 2023 Ford Bronco, head on who was traveling east, being driven by Iveth Salgado Calerdon, 24, of Warsaw, KY.

Iveth Salgado Calerdon was pronounced deceased on the scene by the Gallatin County Coroner, and the next of kin has been notified.

The investigation is ongoing by Kentucky State Police Post 5 Accident Reconstructionist.
