Kentucky State Police Post 5 Welcomes New Troopers

CAMPBELLSBURG, Ky. (September 02, 2025) – The Kentucky State Police (KSP) Post 5 is proud to congratulate two of its sworn personnel on recent promotions and welcome them to their new assignment at Post 5 Campbellsburg.

Effective September 1, 2025, the following promotions and assignments were made:

• Sergeant Jason Adkison, Post 3 Bowling Green, was promoted to Lieutenant and transferred to Post 5 Campbellsburg.
• Trooper First Class Stuart Wiser, Post 12 Frankfort, was promoted to Sergeant and transferred to Post 5 Campbellsburg.

KSP Post 5 congratulates these members for their professional achievements and wishes them continued success in their new assignments.

In related news, on August 26, 2025, Governor Andy Beshear and the Kentucky State Police announced that the agency is accepting applications for Cadet Class 107, scheduled to begin in May 2026.

KSP is offering an increased starting salary of $69,500 annually, a competitive hybrid retirement system, and a sick leave buyback program. Applications must be submitted to the KSP Recruitment Branch by the close of business on December 5, 2025.
